An utterly startling but good food experience.

A busy and very popular pizza establishment at 180 Oxford Street, Love Supreme is renounced for organic pizzas made with simple, clean ingredients and which achieve the perfect balance of taste and aroma. Their menu has a wild side to it – imagine a Mt Zero farm chickpeas, kale, chilli, and goat curd pizza.

A modern Thai restaurant named lovingly after its owner’s daughter, Chubby Cheeks offers Thai and East Asian influenced dishes (think Tinder Creek Roast Duck) and is open for lunch or dinner (with BYO wine available). IL BARETTO has been on Oxford Street since 1999. There’s no takeaway available but they do offer gift vouchers, which you can order online.

Rustic Italian meals and pizza in charming surroundings on Glenmore road. Vino E Cucina somehow use a few unpretentious ingredients to provoke fresh and singing flavours. Take for example, the Caprese, a refreshing salad with soft and creamy mozzarella, with every simple ingredient present and doing its job. A tender and authentic menu and attentive service.

A pub with history, the Four In Hand was saved by locals some years ago after it was earmarked to be demolished for apartments, and which changed hands again in 2020. The place is known for steady inexpensive Australian pub fare, and for working hard on a good wine list.

A light and vibrant drop-in sort of place with a regular fast burger and pizza menu each day, the London is known for really impressive daily specials, but also for solid regular and steak night menus. The London Hotel won a nice “neighbourhood gem” tag because it caters so warmly for groups.

Buon Ricordo, meaning “good memory” in Italian, is an Italian restaurant which opened in 1987 and which, by “paying homage to good memories”, has delighted local and national and international foodies ever since. They serve traditional Neapolitan food, including such peace offerings such as the thinly sliced Hiramasa kingfish, marinated in gin, vermouth, candied orange and campari crystals. Enough said.
