You will find this bread in some of Sydney’s best cafes and fresh retailers, but the cafe in Glebe is one of the few places you will find the full assortment combined with a deliciously fresh chalkboard menu.
There are eight Sonoma cafes across Sydney, but the tiny shopfront in Glebe across from Foley Park is definitely a local favourite. With just a handful of tables this is an intimate place where you will be rubbing shoulders with the other lucky locals who get a spot. Just a few minutes watching this place in action will be enough to understand just how much this place in entrenched in Glebe culture. Line-ups for takeaway coffees and of course fresh baked loaves of bread are a common sight here, and by mid morning on a weekend most of the favourite loaves will be sold out.
If you’re lucky enough to nab a table, then you’re in for a treat. House baked artisan sourdough makes is combined with quality fresh ingredients to deliver Sonoma’s signature flavours. Housemade granola is also a favourite, available for sale so you can enjoy it throughout the week or served in house with fresh fruit and yoghurt. An assortment of pastries are also made in house with both sweet and savoury options. Croissants, Pain au Chocolat, Quiche, Hazelnut brownies and much more, everyone’s tastebuds will be satisfied here.
